How We Do It
INSTRUCTION: Students meet Diamond Del in an educational 12-minute virtual presentation that sets the stage for adventure — revealing the incredible forces of nature that form rocks and minerals deep within the Earth.
ACTIVITY: The excitement begins! Each student receives their own sifter filled with authentic Brazilian mining ore, ready to dig in and strike it rich. As they sift through the ore, dazzling gems and minerals emerge — real treasures that are theirs to keep forever!
LESSON: Diamond Del returns for an additional 12-minute follow-up presentation, sharing fascinating facts and hidden stories behind the very minerals students just unearthed — then guiding them step-by-step to classify and identify their own one-of-a-kind collection like true geologists.
